We are at a key point for data and analytics in higher education, but if we want to ensure that it reaches its full potential we first need to facilitate a shared ‘data space’ in which the people and organisations who are vital to its success are able to come together and collaborate.

Now is the time to do this: as more institutions start collecting analytics data as new infrastructure, data and tools become available, we need to place data issues at the forefront.

In this joint workshop by Jisc and the Open University, we are inviting this diverse group of stakeholders to debate about what needs to happen in order to move this important research area forwards.

By the end of the session we hope to have made important steps towards more joined up working practices in learning analytics for research.
