After a successful first meeting at the University of East London, the UK Learning Analytics Network has two more events approaching:

The meetings provide an opportunity for staff in UK universities and colleges to network informally, share experiences and learn from some of the pioneers who are pushing forward learning analytics. We’ve now got a great line up confirmed for the Edinburgh event, kicked off by the University’s new Chair in Analytics and Informatics, Dragan Gašević, who brings his international perspective on adoption and implementation issues of learning analytics.
In Nottingham we’ll have a live video link with Dr John Whitmer, Director for Platform Analytics and Research at Blackboard, who previously headed up learning analytics work at California State University. John will present his latest US-based research examining the correlation between intervention events, interventions and final grade. He’ll also discuss his investigations into engagement and educational outcomes in MOOCS.
